Family Service Holds Reception at Illinois Street Food Emporium
More than 60 representatives from the local business and not-for-profit community attended a reception hosted by Sue and Ernie Kobets, owners, The Illinois Street Food Emporium.
During the wine and cheese reception, guests were able to network and pose questions to Family Service leaders to learn more about the agency's programs. In particular, guests learned how staff are addressing the needs of families in the Central Indiana area.
The reception included brief presentations about the work of the agency and how groups can get involved by Edie Olson, President, Family Service; Ernie and Sue Kobets, long time supporters of Family Service; Anita Owen, Director of Development, Family Service; and a young couple that has benefited from Family Service's chemical dependency and parent education programs.
The reception was the first of three such events to be held this year at local family-owned businesses. For more information about future events, please contact Anita Owen at anitao@family-service-inc.org
Photos from reception available on Facebook Photos from the reception at The Illinois Street Food Emporium, as well as photos from other Family Service events can be found on Facebook. Click here to visit Family Service on Facebook.
The Perfect Father's Day Gift With Father's Day just around the corner, do you wrestle with what to do for the Dad who has everything? Or are you wondering how to meaningfully remember and celebrate the life of a parent who has passed away? How about making a gift in their honor or memory to strengthen parents who are struggling?
At Family Service, we see parents everyday who want to be good parents, but who have not had good role models on how to best raise their children.
Please consider a tax deductible charitable gift in your parent's honor or memory. A card will be sent to them letting them know of your thoughtful expression of appreciation for the love they have shown you. Just download our donation form (pdf) and mail it in with your gift or make your gift over the phone with a credit card by calling Anita Owen, Director of Development, at 644-7230. Learn more...
